Tis The Season

Once again it is the holiday season.  Whether you celebrate this time of year as a secular or religious person it doesn’t matter when you are celebrating it with kids.  The younger they are the more interesting the season becomes, usually.  Personally I am hoping for a nice quiet Christmas for Sarah’s first.  Liam’s first Christmas had all the the drama I need from my children.  After having spent his first six weeks of life in the hospital and coming home with a feeding tube in his belly he made our first thanksgiving memorable since it was mine and  Katy’s first Thanksgiving since getting married too.  Christmas was the really memorable moment though.  After having been home with his feeding tube for almost six weeks without problems just before bedtime on Christmas the little shit reaches down, grabs his feeding tube and gives a good hard yank.  Out it came.  If you have never been to the emergency room on Christmas, let me say bring something to read, something to sedate yourself with, and be prepared to wait usually for the most incompetent people working in the department.  We will see how things go this year.

Tis the season for something else, Google will be updating their page rank within the next week or three and I want to give all our readers and social networking friends an SEO gift.  I am opening up the blog for a special series of posts on babies first christmas.  I am not restricting it to christmas though or only this year.  If you have had a baby in your life and either you or the baby has had a momrable Christmas, Hanukkah, Yule, or any other you celebrate this time of year you are welcome to sign up for contributor account, write a post linking back to your site and even avail yourself of links in your profile.  Register for an account and write a short post (100 words) or as long as you like.
