My Uterus Is Not A Circus Ring

149580816_a956e46245But it certainly feels like one right about now.

For a while there I was a bit worried about not feeling much movement from Sarah. I shouldn’t have been. She’s currently performing acrobatic feats and generally making me uncomfortable. I don’t remember Liam ever being this active until much later on. I guess it goes to show how different each pregnancy can be. I just wonder if I can survive the next 18 weeks while still staying sane. I did it once before……

Children’s Book Review – Fire Trucks to the Rescue!

Every little boy wants to grow up and become a fire fighter, interestingly enough, this is so common that children’s book marketers work very hard to produce fire engine and fire fighter books. These books sell almost as well as the little toy fire engines at the stores. If you have little boys then you know this, and therefore you want to fuel their fire and desire early on to dream and think about their future. So, why not buy a children’s book that will do just that?

What if I told you that I have just the perfect book for you in mind. In fact, I have this book sitting right in front of me and I cannot believe how well it was received. As a parent you know what I mean, sometimes they like books sometimes they don’t; luckily, this one they did. The name of the book is:

“Fire Engines to the Rescue” A Little Golden Book from the little golden book series, by Janet Campbell and illustrated by Courtney Studios, with appreciation to the Joplin Missouri Fire Department. Published by Western Publishing Company, Inc. 1991. ISBN: 0-307-00306-X.

The story takes you through a normal day in the life of a fire department and then all of a sudden a huge fire breaks out. The fire fighters rush to the scene of a multi-story structure fire and start rescuing people, including a family on one of the upper stories. They save the day and then return to the station for dinner, waiting for the next call that could happen at any time.

Tips For Buying Disposable Diapers

If you are a parent with a baby, than you know full well how many different types of disposable diapers there are. The choices of baby diapers is mesmerizing. Hopefully, by the end of this article, you will be able to take away some useful tips to use when purchasing baby diapers.

One important tip when looking at disposable baby diapers is absorbency. How well are they going to perform at keeping wetness in and, more importantly, away from your baby’s skin. Pampers and huggies come to mind when thinking about absorbency. These two market leaders have invested years in research and the development of diapers with absorbent cores. Nothing is worse than buying a cheap diaper, excited about saving a few dollars, only to realize that they don’t hold anything in and produces leaks.

Another tip associated with the previous is leak protection. Try to look for a diaper that has elastic leg bands that are reinforced for added protection. It also helps to have a diaper that has a contoured shape.

Another important idea when buying disposable diapers is to look for products with Velcro tab fasteners. Trust me, these types of tabs will make your life a lot easier. When checking your baby’s diaper over and over again throughout the day, it’s nice having these types of fasteners because they won’t lose there hold and cuts down on wasted diapers.

One last tip is to look for diapers that are soft and flexible. It’s important to look for products that have a cloth like feel. Remember, your dealing with delicate skin. They deserve the softest available to cut down as much diaper rash and chaffing as possible. Flexibility is also important so that as your baby grows, the diaper will as well. This will cut down on wasted diapers and wasted money. Increased flexibility in the baby diaper also allows for easy movement when they are crawling or rolling around.

I hope these tips were helpful and aid in your search for that perfect diaper. There are many diaper resources on line to help your further. One thing I highly recommend is to look for coupons for free diapers so that you can give them all a test run at a minimal cost.

Welcome To WTF Are We Going To Do Now!

[ad]That is right ladies, gents, men, women and hopefully not too many young ladies because I really wish you could have lived a hell of a lot more of your life before be needing this sort of blog.

I am Brad, your blogmaster and all around administrator. Aside from being a stay at home dad for at least another seven years I am a blogger and author.

Katy is my wife and if you hadn’t guessed is preggers, knocked up, in a family way, has a bun in the oven, renting out her guest womb, lost the immunity challenge, showing signs of a man juice infection, spinning off a wholly owned subsidiary, protesting the Chinese government, bought a three month pass to the morning sickness express, had the fucking pill quit working, and in all other very specific terms pregnant.

I am just waiting to hear how she will introduce me now. All things aside I love her, our son Liam, and what ever we end up calling this one besides “The New Pet“. I am a father, I know how we got into this situation and I am 50% responsible, so I will do my job.
